Susan L. Horton-Cassinelli, CP, LTA

Susan graduated from Barry University in 1992 with a degree in Paralegal Studies. She has been a certified paralegal since 1993, a licensed title agent since 2005 and has been with the company since 2001. Susan has 29 years of legal, real estate and title experience, is a commissioned title agent for the foremost title companies and is an approved closing agent for Miami-Dade County MDEAT low-income housing programs.

Managing the company staff in the coordination of thousands of Fannie Mae transactions, Susan fosters the highest level of accountability, compliance and communication skills amongst our staff.

With extensive knowledge and experience regarding complex title curative issues, including code liens and violations, foreclosures and association matters, Susan is prepared to handle a myriad of complex residential real estate transactions. Through continuing education and underwriter communication, she has brought the company to the forefront in the industry regarding security compliance and Best Practices.

Irene Buryak

Irene Buryak graduated from St. John’s University in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies. She joined the company in 2005.

As the Bookkeeping and Human Resource Coordinator, Irene handles accounts payable/receivable, opening, tracking and reconciling escrow accounts and day to day disbursements.

She also maintains employee records, as well as administration of payroll and employee benefits. Irene has over 15 years experience in real estate title, escrow and settlement services, including handling residential real estate closings.

Karen Leopold, Esq.

Karen S. Leopold graduated from the School of International Service at American University in Washington, D.C., in 1971 with a combined degree in French and Western Europe Language Area Studies.  She spent the next three years as a translator and Capitol Hill representative for the Washington Delegation of the European Economic Community (now the European Union).

Ms. Leopold received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law in 1977.  She speaks French fluently. She specializes in complex commercial and residential real estate transactions, including developer closings.  She has a wide range of clients, including many international clients.  Her expertise includes establishing homeowners’ associations for planned unit developments and developing declarations of restrictions and covenants.  Her practice also includes establishing business entities, and developing and negotiating commercial leases.

Melissa Sosa, LTA

Melissa is a Miami native and graduated from Florida International University with a certificate in Paralegal Studies. She specializes in Commercial and Residential transactions.

Melissa has been a member of our team for 18 years and handles transactions for both our law firm and title company. She is very knowledgeable about the real estate industry from contract preparation to the closing table.

Her attention to detail allows her to accomplish a smooth closing experience. Melissa is also a licensed title agent since 2005. She is commissioned with First American Title Insurance Company. Melissa is fluent in English and Spanish.

Miriam Banks, LTA

Shortly after obtaining her FL Real Estate Associate License in 1988, Miriam developed an interest in the real estate legal and title process.

She joined the company in 2000 initially as an escrow officer. In 2005, Miriam completed the legal studies program at Florida International University.

With over 25 years’ experience in the real estate industry including sales, loan processing for both primary and secondary loan markets, title and closing for residential transactions, including REO closings, Miriam has the varied experience necessary to successfully handle a large volume of residential real estate closings.

Gary Korn, Esq.

Gary A. Korn practices primarily in the areas of developer representation, commercial lender representation and condominium and homeowner’s association documentation preparation. Mr. Korn represents many real estate developers, both in single family developments and with respect to condominium development and condominium conversions. He has prepared in excess of 300 condominium declarations and homeowners’ association documents.

In addition, Mr. Korn represents major lending institutions in regards to the negotiation, preparation and closing of sophisticated commercial real estate loan transactions.

A Philadelphia native, Mr. Korn graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1970 and from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law in 1974. He is a member of the Florida Bar and is also a member of the Real Property Section of the American Bar Association. Mr. Korn served as Vice President and as a member of the Board of Temple Sinai of North Dade. He is a past lecturer at the University of Miami Institute on Condominium and Cluster Development.

Hilary Feinstock, Esq.

Hilary S. Feinstock is a lifelong resident of South Florida. In 1982, she received her Bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from the University of Miami, where she was a University Scholar. She received her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1985, where she was a Harvey Reid Scholar.

Hilary began her career in the title industry with a national underwriter and has developed an expertise in complex title issues and analysis. Hilary now specializes in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, financing and development.

She has taken many residential and commercial projects from acquisition though development and end sales. She also acts as a title agent for a major fast food restaurant chain on its Florida acquisitions.

Norman Leopold, Esq.

A graduate of the University of Illinois, Norman Leopold received his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1973 and his Masters of Tax Law from the University of Miami in 1976.  He was the recipient of the Roger Sorino Memorial Award for the Outstanding Senior of the Class of 1973.  As a  law student, he received the  Bar & Gavel Award for service to the law school and was admitted to the Society of Wig and Robe for scholastic achievement.

Mr. Leopold specializes in complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions and development.  He represents numerous real estate developers, as well as lenders.

Mr. Leopold also served as chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, having previously served as vice chair.  He has been an active member of the Board of Trustees since 1994.  He also serves as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aventura Health Foundation.

In addition to having served as president of Temple Sinai of North Dade, Mr. Leopold is the past chair of the Dade County Association of Reform Temples, former president of the South Florida Federation of Reform Synagogues, and former president of the Southeast U.S. Council of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ), which serves the 100 Reform congregations in the Southeast United States.  He has also served as a Vice Chair of the URJ and Treasurer and currently serves as General Counsel and a member of its National Executive Committee.  Mr. Leopold is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Michael Ann Russell Jewish Community Center and serves as the assistant secretary.  Mr. Leopold was a member of the Florida Board of the Anti-Defamation League and is a recipient of the ADL Torch of Liberty Award.

Kenia Rodriguez, LTA, Title Curative Specialist

Kenia Rodriguez is the company Title Curative Department Team Lead.  Mrs. Rodriguez has over 16 years of experience in the real estate industry and has been with the company for 6 years. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.  Kenia has superior analytical skills with respect to open title issues.  Her detailed title knowledge, coupled with her extensive real estate experience, facilitates her clearance of even the most complex title issues.  Kenia completed her title agent course at Miami-Dade Community College and is a Licensed Title Agent.

Shannon Munoz

Shannon has 18 years’ experience in the real estate title and closing industry including handling standard purchase and sale contracts, refinances, short sales and REO transactions.  Shannon specializes in facilitating even the most difficult to close transactions.  Shannon graduated from Florida International University in 2005 with a degree in Paralegal Studies and has been with the company for 18 years.
